To walk around in someone’s skin is to fathom, to grow. I’ve been drawn to character-driven stories since a young age, fascinated by the duality of our ubiquitous and yet unique lives. The internet teaches us to flatten each other, to distill our complexities into a handful of traits and binaries that hold no room for the nuance of personhood. As storytellers, we have the ability to breathe depth back into our flaws, to foster empathy and gratitude, to elevate humanity, ever so briefly. I am happiest working on projects that spread appreciation for diverse experiences, hold a mirror up to the viewer, and inspire a better world.
